I am 29!!! People keep telling me enjoy my last year in my 20's like it is a big deal. It's not a big deal to me at all. I have known I am getting older for a while now, I guess I have come to terms with it. I think I will use all of this hoopla to have a really big 30th birthday celebration. Because I do love a good celebration. It rained on my birthday, Yea!!! I went to church, then we went for a stroll at the Riparian habitat in Gilbert. I am a HUGE fan of this place. It's free, fun, and a quick getaway in the middle of the city. After my husband made my family and I chicken piccata and grilled bok choy and onions. It was a sweet day for me.
Now I may not care about getting older but having Weston turn 7 was almost too much. The only consolation about him having a birthday was it was pretty much his best birthday ever! He had a great time eating cookies, pizza, and playing on his bounce house for hours. I let him do whatever he wanted, and it was bliss. I pretty much asked everyone to come over for a party like 6 hours before, and everyone was very gracious, and those who could came.
Weston's teacher, who we still call Ms. Kapla, but now think of her as Mrs. Got a cool new last name with Latin flare, helped me make a dream come true. I was able to bring cookies to school for Wes's birthday. We even got to sing happy birthday to him with "Cha Cha's"! Very awesome.
To round off my son's birthday weekend, Wade and his family went hiking. All day. What seemed like hours of worry to me, turned out to be a great day for Weston near Queen Valley, and we can never have too many of those.
