For a very long while

For a long while I have cut out quotes and thoughts I want to remember when my mind is too muddled, anxious, fearful, or sad. Kind of like reading your scriptures, the quotes re energize me. I am a visual person- I learn best by seeing something, in this case reading something daily. So when I wake up in the morning, this is what I see......
President Thomas S. Monson, stated: “I believe the Savior is telling us that unless we lose ourselves in service to others, there is little purpose to our own lives. Those who live only for themselves eventually shrivel up and figuratively lose their lives, while those who lose themselves in service to others grow and flourish—and in effect save their lives.”
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” ― Mae West
“Where there is love, there is life.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
“Life is to be enjoyed, not endured”  ― Gordon B. Hinckley
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.  ~
“So do all men who live to see such times. All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given to us.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
“Everything will be all right in the end,”  “So if it is not all right, it is not yet the end.”
“Intense love does not measure, it just gives. ” ― Mother Teresa
If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.-  Albert Einstein
Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.  -Albert Einstein
A person who won't die for something is not (yet) fit to live.  -Martin Luther King, Jr.
Maybe Christmas, the Grinch thought, doesn't come from a store.  -Dr. Seuss
“And to all who suffer—to all who feel discouraged, worried, or lonely—I say with love and deep concern for you, never give in. Never surrender. Never allow despair to overcome your spirit. Embrace and rely upon the Hope of Israel, for the love of the Son of God pierces all darkness, softens all sorrow, and gladdens every heart”   President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

I don't know why- but thought I would share. Maybe you will like one and it can be your motto for the day. You might not like Dr. Seuss or Tolkien, but I like the quotes because when I heard them for the first time, they made an impression on me. As I move forward with my life I hope I do so as a better person. I honestly falter from my goals often, but this helps keep me on track.
This is Weston and Wade holding hands after Wade's January surgery- we have more surgery ahead- that means- more cute pictures like this.

The glory of God is intelligence, or in other words, light and truth.
