For Eternity

Well, with all that is going on, life can seem unfair at times. Although, unfair is like the worst phrase ever. (I try not to use it)
With all the illness, traumatic injuries, financial woes, doctors appointments, disappointing therapy sessions, needles, ruined carpet, and bad vanilla ice cream in the world, it is nice to know I have them. (See Below)

My Dad & Wade
Now wouldn't be cliche of me to say they are the best father's in the world? It would. It doesn't have to be true, it just has to feel true.  I honestly have no way of knowing, but I feel it. Never ever, for even one tiny second have I wished for another Dad, or different Dad for Weston. Their capacity to love and nurture is second to none.  I am in awe of them.
Many know, because I complain constantly, Weston has poor sleep habits, (which are far more bearable today). At 3 in the morning when Wade takes Weston so I can sleep, I will slip down the hall after an hour has passed, hopeful to hear quiet, sometimes I don't.  Sometimes, I hear the sound of Wade soothingly talking to Weston, telling him to sleep.   I then turn down the hall back to my bed to rest, knowing Weston is well cared for with his father.
I recall as a child (still not sleeping) I would go down stairs in the wee hours of the morning to try to watch tv, cause I would get scared at night sleeping in my bed alone. Often,  I would find my father at the kitchen table reading his scriptures, mate in hand.  I would then slink back upstairs to my bed to sleep. Knowing my dad was up and reading his scriptures, made this little girl feel safe .  So I'm not trying to say I am so grateful for these men in my life because they help me sleep when I can't. I am saying they have blessed my life with their example to love and hard work.  Both have an ability to teach, persevere, and find joy in the simple blessings of life. Father's Day can be a happy day, or bittersweet for some, but its the time we get to pause and celebrate this sacred calling. We know it is a calling given for time and eternity.  On Father's Day we get to honor and remember the Father's and Father figures who have blessed our lives. I am blessed.
Happy Father's Day to the good and honorable men who rise to this sacred calling

The glory of God is intelligence, or in other words, light and truth.
