I have to say, that New Years day 2011 was the absolute best of my whole life. Those are pretty strong words I know, but I truly mean it. Wade had backpacking plans that fell through. So on a whim we decided to load up the car and head for.......Prescott. Surly there would be snow after the big storm?? There was!!! It was a real treat to see Prescott all covered in snow, I usually visit only in the summer. Wade and I interpreted Weston jumping into the pool on Christmas Day morning, as a really large request to go swimming. We found a hotel with a heated indoor pool and decided that we build the next 24 hours around a little trip for Weston. He ate pizza twice, played in the snow, and swam lots, jumped on his fluffy hotel bed, it was heavenly. At night we went for a walk around the town square all covered in snow. People where singing carols as they walked and pulling their children behind them in sleds. I felt like I was in a Thomas Kinkade or Norman Rockwell painting. Most days in life are not that picturesque, but it was very freeing to start a year with such a perfect day. It will be nice to look back and draw strength from a lovely time when I fall on my behind slipping on ice, which I did on the trip, three times!!!

The glory of God is intelligence, or in other words, light and truth.
