In my case a good weekend consists of a morning drive through the desert, swimming, playing fort, an evening walk, and something that is so rare that I did not believe it existed anymore.... a nap. I slept in the middle of the afternoon. It was awesome!
In other family news....Wade continues to make progress. He is almost ready to begin physical therapy on his arm and leg. The doctors are very pleased with his healing. His jaw continues to give him trouble. Wade will have more surgery this month in a attempt to fix the joints. He will be tasting life through a straw once again. He dreams of eating chips and salsa, maybe some day. The prognosis on Wade's jaw is difficult to ascertain. His surgeon has options for us try. Wade's spirits are undaunted, and he rarely complains about pain. This is just typical Wade. When we were reunited in the ambulance after his accident they were asking him about pain level, he kept saying "it is not that bad". He is back at work and smiling, well he tries not to smile since his teeth are in a slightly different location then before. Luckily, he totally rocks this look.
