Forgive me if you loved this movie.
I have never read the Twilight series. So what possessed me to wait in line for a Midnight Movie Showing, I'll never know. I started yawning at about 6:00 pm but had great company in my sister and her in-laws, they kept me awake. I was going into the movie with a TOTAL OPEN mind. Finally the movie started.....and so did the laughter.
I really wanted to want to be the main character in the movie, but the whole love story seemed lamed (from the movie's point of view). I could not get pass the horrible make up followed up by bad wigs and acting. I thought, "Edward must have GI issues" because his facial expressions seemed queasy the whole show, poor guy. There were some pretty cool scenes, and if they make a second movie, I think most of the problems could be solved with a bigger budget and different direction for the actors.
Marci liked the move, and she has read the books, I think I might give them a try. My favorite was watching Marci perched at the edge of her seat when Bella and Edward would have their moments, she was giddy like a school girl, so was 90% of the theater (who were in fact school girl age). I'd love to hear the opinion of others. Maybe I am alone, and just not lucky enough to be "bitten my Edward" (like so many shirts said). I was entertained for sure, I was just not expecting to laugh so much at 3:00 am. It made me wish Tricia was with us, but she was the smart one and decided to sleep through it. Was it worth the $$$$? YES!!!!! But maybe you should not take my word for it, I mean after all, I am a HUGE Star Wars fan. I even have a few Jedi Christmas ornaments.

This is freakin HILARIOUS! Your critique of this movie cracked me up! I can't wait to see it myself. I have read the first three books and am on the last one...which isn't as great as the first three. It's kind of totally gay actually.
LOVE YOU!
That's Hi-lar-i-ous! GI issues? So funny. You already know how I feel about Twilight.
I am very excited to see this movie, thanks for ruining it. haha I guessed it would be cheesy, because well, the books are, but I LOVE them and will probably be like Marci when I watch it. I don't mind getting into the silly romantic school girl emotions of the whole thing, it's fun! However, I am upset about the actor choices and I'm sure they will disapoint me a little. I think that is how it usually is when you read the book first and then see the movie. It's never exactly how you imagined it. But I think that's awsome that you went to the midnight show, maybe you were a little slap happy by then. :)
Love your review. I am totally boycotting, although my husband managed to go today. No books for me either, it is part of the boycott!
Ok... I had to stop at the first line that said, "I have never read the books" I paused and I wiped the tear from my eye. I decided to keep reading and shed another tear that you thought of me!! I do have to say I am a total grandma. Glad you liked it. Now I have to find someone to go with cause everyone has already seen it.
I haven't been able to go see the movie cause I'm waiting for my whole family to come up to my moms for thanksgiving cause we're all freaks about the books and wanted to watch it together, I'm not surprised that you thought it was chessy i guessed it probably would be but i'm still so excited to see it!!!!
I felt the same way about the movie. I was not expecting to laugh so much. I am hoping the next one is made better with more $ put into it, and different directors.
So my family and I went to see Twilight and I loved it, Yes it was very cheesy, but I wanted to watch it again after I saw it, I of course obsessed over the books so it was awesome to see how they made it into a movie, I'm sure the next one will be better with all the money they made with this one :) Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
